I just read the tread on bending Koa and I am about to bend a set of high figure walnut....my first set of walnut. Is there anything I should watch for before I bend? Temp? |

The stuff bends like plastic. Walnut is very forgiving. Any high curl woods can be a challenge, but walnut is about as easy as they come. |

I like to bend Walnut. It's pretty forgiving, but Brock is correct about curl. |

If you are using the machine , the bending technique is the same as for figured Koa . If you are bending by hand the use of a flexible plate over the iron helps to keep the figure from potato chipping john hall |
